get a decent fwd car and you will find your not as bothered about it.
most peoples experience on here is a corsa then something like an ibiza

I have a cracking fwd car, highly regarded by press as a brilliant fwd car famed for its handling. Its one of the best cars ive ever driven.
That doesnt mean it isn't flawed.
Rwd is how it should be, fwd was made and is made to make cars cheper. End of.

Comparing an st to a 318 isnt a fair comparison either. St is performance top spec Mondy, compare that to a 330?

If you are talking equivilant then by range definition then its bmw similar is the M3 and if you read any road test I think you will find your answer

why is that? i drove both before purchasing and on the real road the mondeo felt much better on the B roads.

never suffered with grip issues, its not masses and masses of power, FWD car with around 230bhp through the wheels is quite easy to manage. Anyway the initial point i was making was that the BMM does not IMO warranty the extra price tag as there are other cars which have everything it does and does it the same if not better for much less, thats all.

Push both car to the limit.. In general you'll find the limi a lot quicker on a FWD car than you would on a RWD or AWD .
There are a few exceptions.. Focus RS and Megane R26 being two of them.

It's not just about speed it's about how well the machine works thereedback and the overall experience, the BMW is a million years ahead of the mondy in terms of build quality and also ride.
Once you have driven a BMW everything else just feels like it's been put together using string and lackey bands. In no way am I dissing the mondy, they are great cars also renowned for their ability and handling. But bmws are worth the extra, that's how come they exist.

i dont think they are? i think the badge serves the extra premium on them, i genuinely dont think there is any difference in the build quality, i would go as far as saying the mondy has a far better interior and luxuries then the bmw. I think you would need to drive one to appreciate it really.

i remember doing my rally experience day and the RWD seemed to get out of shape alot quicker than the FWD, but the RWD felt more predictable and also easier to correct mistakes.
for most peoples driving and nearly all public highway driving it doesn't really matter as much, depends if you really drive like a pro everywhere or just imagine you do

I have been in countless Mondeos (albeit not an ST) it certainly is not anyway NEAR as well built as a BMW. By a country mile the materials are just not as good, it's not just a badge that kind of thinking is usually put out by people who are justifying to themselves why they don't want something because they cant afford it, I'm sure you can barndoor so less of the clap trap

A 330i M-sport would destroy an st220 round the twisties, there is sooooo much more thought into the design and not just the build, if you look at the suspension design you will see, also the engine is low and back as standard like every bmw really.
