Been a lot less hype around this one than the original I think.
As usual Americans going crazy for it but not heard many people talking about it over here....

That's what I thought too..
Then I saw what the queue was like at our Apple store..
The front door is round the corner and it's doubled back round there..

I'd be tempted to go and spit at them if it wouldn't add 10 minutes onto my journey home.

I'll admit.. I am a man who likes his Apple products. I do have the first iPad and love it.
However I'm no where near enough of a fanny to be queueing up for hours on Buchanan St just to pay Mr Jobs £400.

I've wanted one for a while & would've happily paid my £400+ today if I could actually walk into a shop & just get one. But no, Apple want to 'launch' it in every shitty town in the country
I walked past our local apple dealer today & there were 5 or 6 people queueing outsidfe... with not a single person inside. Just one shop worker stood there looking iBored

Spend the next year telling people why it's better than the equivalents despite the shortcomings, then spend another £500 next year when they bring a better one out.

Massive queue outside the store in The Bullring. It looked like people were just waiting to have a look as there were hundreds of people pushing around one of the tables in there...
Cool story bro.

I thought the general consensus was that there wasn't a lot of point in getting rid of your original iPad in lieu for the new one. But I guess if you've money to burn then...

It's so much lighter and faster. That's the only reason to change. That and FaceTime. It's better bit not a huge leap, seams it will follow iPhone lifespan of 2years

No, im going to give the iPad2 a miss, although I might get the wife one for her birthday.
Im saving my pennies for the next iphone.
My brother has just ordered the ipad2 from PC world (using a business account) and will be picking it up on Tuesday, im looking forward to seeing it.
A phone is a massive part of my daily life, where as my iPad usually gets less than an hour from me, the wife spends more time on it then I do.
I'd happily upgrade the phone, but will skip the ipad I think.

Pre-ordered mine today from Apple direct. Was going to reserve one at the Trafford Centre and pick up one evening but i couldn't do that by phoning or online.
£559 is getting me the 64GB wifi edition. I'll be using mainly when i'm in bed to read, browse, watch TV etc. Be good when i'm in hotels pre loaded with a HD movie or two. A couple of weekends work will pay for it
