I hate Barcelona as a club for the way they go about their business with players, and the play acting is shit, like a lot of clubs... but the football they play is unreal. If Rooney scored that second, this thread would be ten pages longer It's almost the norm for him now. He is a far better player now than he was against united in the final... and the united team is nowhere near as strong. United are fucked. Simple as.

2nd goal was good but could of been defended better. Albiol I think just waved a leg, and marcello might as well not of bothered.Vidic wouldn't get skinned like that and Evra would of clattered him.

if he knows that Barca are going to try and get one of his players sent off, surely he should tell them to be a bit more cautious and not go in with high studs, giving players a chance to roll around.
Steve, the giggs goal was better than messi's that's why it was replayed thousands of times over many many years and he got the credit and bumming it deserved, so why shouldn't messi?, it's not the first goal he's scored like that this year either!
Which utd player do you consider to be the best ever then? Messi is on 52 goals for the season, could easily make 70, also something like 20 assists. He doesn't roll around (much) as he'd rather carry on with the chance to do something himself instead of getting a free kick. And he's what, 23 or something? Still got another 10 years in him

He's done it too often now for it to be down to anything other than sheer brilliance. There are few defences and even fewer goalkeepers as good as Madrid's. He scored a beaut plain and simple.

Can't argue with the Pedro booking, was on about the Pepe red card more than anything
Thing is, Messi is the best player of our lifetime, and I think it's impossible to compare to other generations of player. It was a far easier game back then compared to now.
