Sorry mate I hadn't read the thread. Yeah, works hard but doesn't score enough. Good player.

He was a year above me at Primary School. He was always good at football so not surprised he is making a career from it.

I love my club and couldnt imagine getting even slightly excited by any other. I look out for certain clubs but their results never have any real effect on me.
I went to see York almost as many times as I did United in 2006-2007, due to a lad I worked with being a die hard fan. Me and my mate got quite in to it. We saw 13 United games that season and managed to either see York the same week or the weeks that we weren't going to Manchester. So essentially a game a week.
I got free box tickets to the Bristol game where they narrowly missed. York ended up making the play offs which I never thought they would do. In the past York have ultimately being a bit shit and there is a reason why they won't get out of non league. We stuck with them as they deserved the support and played like a league team. After that season I changed jobs so wasn't getting asked to go to games with him, and ultimately I'm not a York fan, just got caught up in a good season.

Going to have to accept we aren't going to find someone as good as VDS though. I actually think he is better than Schmeichel was.
Me too, he started off a little bit shaky, but it was clear he was a differant class to Barthez, Howard and Carroll!
I have good memories of Schmeichel but when ever I watch Premier League years I realise he wasn't invincible and made errors. I think the last 2 seasons Van der Sar has surpassed him.
