Jims kinda right.
However, the time invested is never costed/calculated. To most people it's not practical but in steves case he enjoys it and thus is his hobby. I know lots of people who piss £200 a weekend up the wall and think that's fine but spend £500 on seats and your mental.
I don't see the issue. If he's happy but wantsto tinker and build then why not?

couldve bought a civic type r, tt quattro, scooby, clio cup.....
i hate this way of thinking.
the way i see it is, steve now has a puma more capable than most, and quite a lot of it is brand new
buy a £5k civic, and i bet it would end up having aload spent on it. Then when you have spent £9k, you will say, could of got an M3
jambo surely you should by an m3 then

I should never spent as much money as I did on my Corsa. Could of moved on to a better car much earlier if I had left it alone. Hindsight FTL.

Don't waste money on seats yet steve.
Get a diff and some sticky tyres instead.

you are talking 6k for a decent one, that wont actually give me anything else i want other then wide arches
It would have bit more power, seats, brakes, LSD and the most important part: imperial blue paint!
Plus the wider track and arches.

my car already pretty much has the same track width, has probably better brakes now, LSD and seats are the main things however can get an lsd for 500 quid a lot less then 6k lol

i reckon this puma of your is the jewel of CS, 8 pages in a morning
people are drawn to helping modify this car like its their own.
Should be on the front page of the site

It would be worth it for the looks alone. FRPs are cheap and it would already be the car you are making the puma, it would be easier on insurance too, because you wouldn't need to mod it.
I know modding cars is fun but I wouldn't but a cupra and make it a cupra r. I'd just buy the cupra r

But are talking about a everyday car

i'd rather a £3k with £3k of individual mods, then buy a £6k car and find yourself driving behind someone in the exact same car, track or everyday.

when i bought a corrado, CTR was about twice as much to buy, now 5yrs later and they worth about the same
i reckon in another few years, the corrado will be a more expensive car than a CTR.
which would be better?

Same as what was in my old 3i, old school
