*** UPDATE 23/2/12 ***

Was at college today and finished early, so i knew how id be spending the rest of the day

so thought id do abit more today by starting by cleaning up one of the mounts and spraying it

srayed it smooth silver









And more work on the block and cleaned it more





First coat of paint on the block









Thats it for today but ive got a couple more goodies for the engine to come yet ill

Looks good mate, if it were me I'd have taken the oil pump off or masked it up

Are you changing the timing belt and tensioners before putting it in? They're worth doing whilst it's out as they're do-able but a bit harder when in the bay

Yeah I thought that Only after I painted it yeah I'll clean it up buddy crnt have it messy !!

Yeah I'm going to just change the belt the pulleys and tensioner looks quite new so think I'll be ok at that plus it's all cost isn't it buddy

You get a tensioner when you buy the timing belt kit anyway

Im trying to get the engine as clean as I can

And yeah your both right I'll just change the tensioner as well it's just piece of mind knowing its done aswell

Yeah gonna paint it silver pal and take a leaf out of Dans book and laquer it aswell !! Just bought a stainless filler pipe for the engine

You want to check the bottom is flat on them mate as some of the ebay jobbies are known to leak

Done some more painting on the engine and done a few other bits heres the pics how i got on today

Had to take the starter motor off and cleaned it up more



Painted the head



Painted the engine mount and this bracket



My mate buffed the fuel rail



Painted the block aswell











Trail fitted my stainless oil filler it looks








Thats it for today

Looking good allready Kyle,done a really good job on that especially on the bit where the inlet is. Wasn't sure about painting that sl I just cleaned it.
