Got back from the QPR game earlier, what a start to the season! 1 minute in they scored and it was ruled offside, it got lots better for us from then on.
To be fair to QPR they looked good in the first half, we just ran riot once the first went in. 4-0 makes the £50 ticket worthwhile.
Got a particularly rough run of games coming up so it was good to get points on the board.

You think so.... I only saw the second half but I saw the usual opposition walk all over us with high balls. How many did the striker get to first. Its only because they did not have the support, come up against a decent team and we have no chance.

Burnley fans were probably the worst I've ever seen at Selhurst. Sat there until the 70th minute then got some form of clapping together for a few minutes before quickly being greeted by all of us singing "We forgot you were here, we forgot you were hereeeeeeeee" to which about half off them got up and left. Shocking.
We were outstanding today. Jonathan Parr is a little gem, easy to see why Man Utd, Spurs & Arsenal were all tracking him. I'd like to say we've turned a corner, but I'll eat my words as soon as we play away. One win in 18 months.

Fair result. Both teams were average at best. Keepers weren't tested.
Any one in the prem or any league for that matter would of gone down like Barton did. You're a mug if you say otherwise.

Dont get to excited! Was all the shit playing today, for the opening day of the season it was not good, so much for the best league in the world

It's just because it's Joey Barton it's a million times worse. If it was reversed everyone would be calling for Joey's head.
Mugs.

It was more due to the fact he roughed up Gerv for diving but then dived himself.
There was also contact on Gerv for tbe "dive". Would have been a soft penno granted.

Poor defending too, there were 3 players chasing the ball allowing him to lay it up to whoever put the cross in.

Is it because City weren't playing?

Difference is Joey didn't raise his hands. I'm not saying he was right to "rough" up Gervinho up, but all he did was pull him up by the shirt (again, wasn't right to do that). Ref got the situation spot on.

That Arsenal team sheet looks distinctly average without Fabregas and Nasri.
