Rather than agree to disagree.. Let the rest of us agree you're wrong
If Karl Henry had done that to RatFaceRacistezo you'd be wanting him de-cocked.

This. The instant you go into someones' ankle like that, two footed, with no chance of actually controlling it, you're liable to getting a red.

Doesn't really alter the fact that I think you're wrong.
I know Jay, he's not a dirty player. You can argue that both his feet were off the ground, but the fact is it was only his trailing leg that caught him after he'd won the ball. For me that's a yellow all day long, there was no intent to injure anyone.

There's plenty of decisions that are given every week that don't back that up though which I suppose is the issue. If two players are going in head on for the same ball and have studs showing it's obviously a clear red. There's plenty of times referee's see a challenge similar to the one last night, where both players or coming in from different angles 'hard' and nothings given to either player, if Spearing hadn't won the ball then fair enough but he'd already won it and was coming out the other side. I really don't think it was wreckless enough to be a red, a yellow fine.

Doesn't matter if you know him, doesn't matter if he isn't a dirty player.
Even if it was an accident, which it probably was, it was still a red card, Tom.

Lets put it this way, it will feature in a certain segment on Soccer AM this weekend (assuming they still do that?)

And in other news Cahill has had his red card quashed today, he shouldn't have got it in the first place!
