nope, if you dont want overspray EVERYWHERE you will need to do the exact same masking.
Really....

The contrast of orange/grey looks fine there, doesn't look out of place. Everything will have to be masked no matter how little spraying you're doing, paint gets everywhere

steve - test a spray can (if thats what you plan to use)
Hold it 20cm away from a very large open news paper and spray keeping your hand still. See how far its spread out..... no imagine what thats going to be like when you're moving and changing angles.
You will need to mask or have an oversprayed car interior,

just paint it in situe, then once dry mask the cage and spray the interior back to silver.

Metal everywhere
Eyelets for the harnesses
The bend for the harness bar meant one of the straps wouldnt be sitting on the straight part, so eyelets were added, no big deal as I haven't bought harnesses yet

And makes welding more difficult.

Cage all welded up properly now & put back in the car
Looks like more sound deadening under the front carpet so I guess I might aswell remove it whilst the carpet is out, thought I'd seen the last of that! Pick it up tomorrow (today) after I wake up as I'm at work atm. Really can't wait to see it in the flesh!

Who did the cage btw? Is it home made with own design or a copy of one? Is the middle bit abit OTT?
Looks like it means business reguardless

Nickson Motorsport. It's a custom design in the fact that's he's never done one so started from scratch & I specified what I wanted. It had to be changed from going to the rear chassis legs to the rear arches as it wouldn't fit out the door to be welded up which is where Nick then suggested about a rear brace at a price I couldn't really turn down. It maybe is a bit OTT and certainly more cage than I intended but I'm so happy with it now, I've always wanted a car with a cage and it's not just a measly little cage now.

Exactly mate, exactly what I've said to people who have said I'm mad for putting a cage in this car. No matter how much the car is worth if you roll over at 100+ it will hurt alot , and as much as I don't want that to happen I'd rather survive to tell the tale and lose the money.
