decided as i was bored today to make my spare key into a flipkey
reasonably happy with it. going to get another key cut and going to do that part again is it isnt long enough.
heres how it turned out.....

haha mite do lol. was a bastard to do. this one was a learning curve. cut the key too short. it unlocks the car but isnt long enough to fit into the ignition barrel
take 2 will be much easier

yeah its quite fiddly. i used a dremel. also had to file the edge of the plastic down because the key is wider than the modern ones

looks like the pressed metals will be coming off. some cock of a police officer decided they are illegal eventhough being uk font. correct spacing. correct width around the numbers. and are reflective. and non of the legislation that he gave me stated that the plates had to be plastic!
so im going to have to go back to shitty massive plastic ones now because i have 2 marks against my private plate and dont want to loose 600quids worth of plate :\
seriously pissed off!

remote locking fitted today thanks to county automotive happy happy. should make life easier and my paintwork less scratched from keys etc

looks really nice and subtle , its the way to go im hunting opel badges atm got quoted £22 for a front pre97 one !! might stick with the griffin haha

yeah thats not too bad. expensive but worth it if opel is the way your going. or somehow fit a badgeless grille, not sure if you can with a pre bumper

not sure how. think its just a control unit upgrade. i had central locking to start with. but now its controlled with a remote.
Paid 125 for everything fitted so not bad. indicators flash n everything haha

central locking is where you open one door and they all open or im i missing the point here? if not then i dont have central locking would love to walk up to my car and get in without using the key!
