In some cases, council houses aren't that much cheaper than say a like for like private let. Speaking from experience.
If council houses were solely for people in need, then why do the council have no issue's with selling them to the tenants.
Not every1 who lives in a council house will be getting discounts etc. I bet most pay full rent.
Paying some1 elses mortgage will be the main reason why people would rather have a council house over a private let.

Back on topic, I feed my dog Bakers Complete. Mainly as it is the conventional thing to do, hadn't heard of a barf diet until I logged onto CS one day and read a thread about council houses.

that dog has very serious separation anxiety and is something that would need major work to get over, the dog is also very stressed as can be seen by the constant yawning, separation issues are quite common in sibes, thankfully i dont have any problems with mine except for 2 of the pups that cant be separated from each other

Why? Private letters can let their houses to council tenants if they're the correct grade of house they're looking for and even allow the owner the chance to improve the house via grants.
