I got on natural gas just after it started to move upwards, only on my demo account for the time being but it still made like 5% which is amazing.

This is always been something I've been interested in but its always seemed quite hard to grasp, so now i'm learning the basics and getting my head round it i'm quite happy. Im in a good position too as my godfather part owns a stockbroking company and his daughter works in foreign investment so theres avenues to look into.

Never a good sign when the scale on the standard deviation indicator is expressed with a negative exponent.

No idea, but I'd be looking at stuff like gas supply, the demand is likely to be fairly predictable unless the weather turns unexpectedly. So I'd be focusing on the supply side.
But as said before, with really short-term stuff, I'd be using technical analysis and treating the same as any other asset class.

Rumours are people expecting the shares to break $700 per share.
Couldn't seem to pick anything that would go up today. Need to start setting small stop losses so it doesn't spiral.
Be alright... I'm sat on -£30.

IF apple shares get to 700.... a £2012 investment within the next 2 hours at the current price, would see back £1178 ontop of your £2012. Noice. Do it Dan.

Are people in here discussing that if you make the right choices that your portfolio value will rise?
Apple aren't a good bet today imo.
Unless they pull something really special out of the bag I think markets will begin to react to their lack of innovation.
