word of advice, if you have any steep hills covered in snow on the way home i suggest making sure your traction control is turned off and you take a good run up at it, go slow or have the traction control kick in you wont be getting up it
that method always worked in my old E46

I had a nice sideways moment this morning. Though it's not the first time I've pulled into that road sideways before

What amazes me is that in other contries they get loads of snow and deal with it like its nothing over here we get 1cm of snow and people crash it to everything and abandon cars left right in centre

Got the BM to DVLA Chelmsford and back last time it was snowing (roof down when snow wasn't falling too) couple of hairy moments but was fine otherwise.

They get snow and know they will get it in bulk and for fairly long periods, so have to cope and obviously it becomes second nature to them and their authorities
Here, we sometimes get snow, sometimes it settles, sometimes it amounts to decent coverage. No-one is used to it or regularly has to drive in it and therefore have no idea of what to do about it.
