PS4 as I'm a Sony Fan Boi.

But as I have a PS3 and 360 I can not see me getting one any time soon. Especially as there will still be decent games coming out for both.

Im funny about stuff like this, if there is something better out, I cant go back and play the old stuff. With the exception of retro gaming reasons

Me too, but I can't justify paying £400 for these things.

I've always been an xboxer. But looking at things I'd rather buy the sony in protest.

I don't think either have made a particularly good looking console this time around. I'm definitely going to miss my Ceramic White fat PS3.

Seems to me that Microsoft are trying to fill the Wii slot (as the wii U is a massive failure) by making it more aimed at families, whereas Sony are going more for gamers, made it a lot easier to design for etc...

I still don't want to be prancing around like a tool when I'm playing games, I play games to relax not to exercise, so the choice of camera or not if much better than being forced to pay 80 quid more to be spied on by Microsoft.

They've been trying to fill the Wii slot for some time imo. Avatars, Kinect, increasing library of family orientated games.

As you say, Sony seem to be targeting the gamers.

The extra price isn't a factor for me. I'll have either console for their lifespan anyway. Which will equate to probably ten quid a year. No biggy. Will depend what my mates get. Hopefully the Xbox though as PS controllers are shit.

I will be buying the new xbox. Maybe give my 360 elite to a hobo, or maybe see if it blends.

They are completely turning down a number of customers by all the requirements the xbox has..yeah, a lot of people have the internet and buy new games anyway but..they're getting cocky.

And the cheek of this comment (or very similar), "if you don't have an internet connection, we have a product for you, it's called an xbox 360".

They're going to lose a lot of money. Hopefully the PS4 will cost less than the xbox (I appreciate that every time a new console is released, it uses better technology, but with time...the cost of older technology decreases, so why the massive price hikes, I don't know..) and will have a lot more games available this time around and I'll consider it, else I'll stick to PC gaming for now. Never been a fan of xbox, too big of a controller and too many buttons.

Sorry, just had a google. I've been put off of them since the original xbox...there's lots of buttons on the control pad...I just see the playstation controllers as much simpler design and are comfy in the hand. I'm guessing by your comment, they've changed a lot with the 360 and the most recent one then?

This is the thing I meant:

That's the old one though...I think? are they simpler now? It's daunting when you're not used to it..

Saying that though, I don't own a playstation any more either. PC gaming all the way at the moment.

The reach on the analogue sticks on the PS3 controllers is uncomfortable when playing for long periods IMO.

Plus the fact they use the buttons for triggers instead of the...triggers.
