Started with the refining pad tonight, only did an hour so just one side done, will do a couple of hours the next two nights and try and get it boxed off.

Bit hard to capture really, can't wait to get it out in the sun

Looking good. When's the kit coming off to check? Or are you going to have a summer of pretending it will all be ok

Started removing it last night as you can probably see in the pics the skirts are not sitting flush.

Other than being filthy under there it seems ok so far, I've got a full set of brand new clips at my parents so the plan is to take it there and pull the kit off, clean it all up and then refit with new clips.

Hopefully next weekend but depends what the misses has planned for me

That's not happening, spent 7 hours machine polishing it in the garage on Saturday and when she came home after work she looked in and just thought I had tidied the garage

Cars (especially old Corsa's) are not her interest

Finished the machine polishing (well got to do the mirrors when I refit them) and pulled it out the garage for a couple of pics. Pretty damn happy how it's turned out tbh.

As you can see in the pics, soon to be done job is to remove a dent in the passenger wing hence why the headlight is removed, sadly can't access it so the wing is going to have to come off. My mate is panel beater and reckons it's an easy one to just pop out, if not then the car came with two white wings so it's not really an issue.

Next job is to put a layer of Collinite on it to lock in that shine

I'll get some decent pictures when it's out and about

No mate, right where it is, is where the slam panel joins the inner wing so I can't get my hand in.

No real update but been driving this the last few days and enjoying it

Plans now are...

Pull kit off next weekend, clean up underneath and refit properly with all clips etc
Set coilover height / stiffness properly
Get tracking done.
Dig my spare interior out the loft and see how the driver seat looks (current one looks ok but has a couple of cig burns )
Find a cheap USB head unit, I can't deal with the old skool CD player skipping on every bump!
Fit my non airbag GSi steering wheel.
New plates
New aerial

Going forward I plan to clean up and protect the underneath later this year when I stop using it after summer.

Couple of things done tonight..

Fitted the airbox attachment, doubt it has any effect but it I had it so thought why not! Found my spare airbox the other day so going to drill it.

Fitted my non air bag wheel, this isn't without issue though as I can't get a cowling to fit the bottom, original is too deep and a non airbag one won't fit around the bit's on the column, problem I need to solve :/

Looking good. Surely you can disconnect all the air bag wires you don't need and cut them smaller?
