Or did he...seems to deviate on this replay... Nothing on hotspot, but it fucking moved before the pad on the super slo-mo.

Fully agreed. People say theres no drama in Test Cricket...well!

I think only people that dont understand Cricket say that.

Snicko said no hit. Trott definitely thought he did. They couldn't use the side on hotspot because it was lined up to show the replay of Root.

Normality at last!

Not seen it yet but sounds a massive fuck up re Trott decision. Hot spot wasn't available as it was still reviewing Root dismissal. For me that means it should go back to the original decision of the on field umpire.

Must've missed Caveys post which is a shame as I've said pretty much exactly what he already had

Just seen it on C5 highlights, looks like he hit it to me but they haven't really gone into much detail about it. Erasmus is a poor umpire IMO though.

Watching Sky's highlights now, how the hell was that stumping given not out? It was close but there is no way you can say he definitely had any of his foot behind the line.

Just heard something very scary on Sky. Because we now have neutral umpires the only ones available for this series are Dar, Dharmasena, Erasmus and Tony Hill of NZ I can see umpires being a big talking point for the rest of the series.

Could of gone either way.

But that fella for the Aussies they had a right little nugget up their sleeve, didn't they!

England have asked the referee to "clarify" why trott was given out. So obviously aren't happy

Which should bring up the debate of how much you use and trust the technology. There was nothing on hotspot from front on. But should you trust that only or actually use your eyes.

Obviously Erasmus only used the technology. Apparently he's apologised this morning for the decision

The irony is if Root reviewed his decision then he probably would of had the decision reversed too as there was nothing on hotspot there either

Funny how the 'technology in football' people refer to cricket as stonewall.

Been working all day, seen we've steadied the ship ever so slightly, still in major trouble though, couldve done with Prior staying at the crease a bit longer. Broad is as capable of a 50 as he is 5 so need his top battling game.

Im thinking a lead of 250 will make it a decent game, the surprise of agar is gone now so hopefully we wont let him rack up another almost 100.

Delicately poised. I'd say England are just shading it but every time it's looked like England were taking the game away they've lost key wickets, losing Prior was a big blow, he could easily have taken Australia completely out of the game.

250 should be enough, not sure Australia have the batters for this pitch, it needs patient accumulators which is why Trotts wicket was so disappointing. Excellent effort from Bell though, good to see him score important runs rather than just cashing in on a good start from the top order. Him converting it and a 50 from Broad would be priceless.

Oh. My. God.
I've seen a lot of howlers from league umpires in my time but that's a shocker.

That was a shocking decision. Broad should of walked. But after yesterday, can't blame him. Also, the Aussies Spunked their reviews earlier. So their fault there too

I used to walk but, after being given out off my upper arm amongst other shockers, I leave it fully up to the umpire now, I'm happy for the opposition to do the same too, it's what they are there for.

Havent seen it yet as was out, but was listening to Boycott and he was pissing himself laughing

Sounds like payback for yesterday. Lead up to 253. That could be enough, but then, this is Trent Bridge, anything can happen
