The new Audi S1 has just been released. 230bhp and 4wd, plenty scope for more power. A bit more pricey at £25k.

I know this, and it easily tuned. But some say it's floored and heVy. I personally would opt for a V8 but given you wish to tune then the lighter car may be better?

Mines an early 98 V8 ideally

Just drove a later 135i with a double clutch gearbox.

So quick to change gear and the paddles are ace but it hung in a gear after booting it up a slip road, changed into third, backed off completely and it just sat there at 5500rpm in third

Confused now though as it felt so much quicker accelerating.

Not as much as an S3 would...

Anyway I'm still undecided, this one felt a lot quicker than the manual but then it was a single turbo model not the earlier twin turbo model so it's not a fair comparison. Need to try a late manual really.

I'm on about the older ones, the coupe version. They're already depreciated 50% from their original price

Toyota GT86 is. Rear seats look awful though, really put me off when I looked at one.

If I was after an investment, I'd buy a Lotus Carlton or an Audi RS2.
