Car is off to the garage Monday to have new brake pipes as they are so corroded they failed the MOT. Boo hoo.

So today I had a quick mock up of my grille plan. Not going to fit this till I get my bumper headlights but wanted to see what it will look like...

Got an OPC Opel grille off Facebook cheap as it had no Opel logo, which is fine as I did not want it......

Was a bit disappointed in the quality. It was half the cost of a new one, but it was a little tatty. Whole experience annoyed me as seller was a fucking retard. But that's another story...

So did a quick bit of research and found out that the badge is 100mm or thereabouts and that a Vauxhall badge to fit would be off a Vectra C boot... Tom had just removed one off his red Vectra, so I gave him a shout and he dispatched me a Griffin.

Needs sticking here:

Just laying on top here, not sure what I will attach it with yet, answers on a postcard.

Also debating plasti dipping over the OPC logo....

I love the grill and the OPC badges, look great on the side repeator housings on certain models. But Seems a bit daft, you've advertising OPC but with the Griffin badge?

Im debating plasti-dipping the OPC badge out.... As I wrote above

The car isn't an opel, its a Vauxhall, the grille is honeycomb like the GSI bumper which will be eventually fitted to the car

Yer I don't get why mate, thats why I asked.

Its completely personal preference, I love the OPC & Opel badges I know many don't. I have the Corsa badged as Opel, but I know it wasn't actually built in this country, despite the age old argument that if its in this country its a Vauxhall mine wasn't built at Ellesmere Port or Luton, its a European import.

No beef with anyone wanting to make theirs an Opel, but I don't see the point myself. Variety is the spice of life.

Hence me making the girlle up. I was debating removing it as its not an Opel so OPC wouldn't be accurate? I don't know really. Could find a small VXR badge I guess...

For now I might just blank it off.

Would make more sence.

Tell you what would look smart and its probably not been done, go to a stick company and get them to make you a Bertone logo on a sticker the same size and stick that over it

I actually think the coupes will be quite collectable in the future, shouldn't have let my brothers one go for £600, was great condition bodywork wise, shame the guy who got it ruined in within a few months.
