If I was going down the charger route I would of got an e39 easier and cheaper to charge.

E60 will stay na, I'm hoping evolve have some catless headers in stock so I can get them fitted while the engine is out!

They changed the clearance so hopefully shouldn't.

There isn't anyway they could make sure it wouldn't happen on another car though so it's better for them and me. Just annoying I have to run it in for 1k miles before it can be opened up

Do you think a replacement engine will increase or decrease its value?

Given the common issue, I doubt it would have an adverse affect on re-sale.

BMW are giving a good will gesture of 5K into the mix. Engine has come into stock sooner than expected like 6weeks sooner and i should be getting it back next week!!

Bad news is i have 1200miles to do for 'running it in'

Cane it from the off.

Arguments as old as the hills on how to run an engine in.

For longevity, carefully as per manual, manufacturer recommendations.

For more power, hard from the off (When up to temp of course).

Did it for a year. If I was going to be more competitive in that series I needed to spend around 10k didn't want to so split it. Looking to get an m3 for track work now.
