If it'd VAG, I'd go Skoda or Seat - much more car for your money. I also think the Astra CDTI 150 is decent, but they drop in value massively.

Whatever you do make sure it's got the 1.9 16v unit, fucking hate the 1.7 we have in work, think its only the shit slow version really unrefined

im looking for a cheap slow old small engined reliable car for the mrs doesnt matter if it has dents cos it will have after shes got her hands on it if any of u guys have one lying around or know where i can find one. first and only time i let her drive my old gsi she wheel spun into my house mates ovlov and my civic and started crying lol

bought my first car for £87 on ebay lol an N reg mk3 golf, n only thing 'wrong' with it was the intior was covered in cow crap lol all i had to do was get some tax prob find an escort or something for that sort of money i was thinking

think its the longer the trumper the less torque but more peak bhp.

crashed it today, went over a puddle (didnt know it was frozen) n span into a curb curbed wheel n cars driving like the wheels are oval, luckily bought new suspension last week just incase lol n some tins of underseal today ready for the winter, found a nice set of 100mm trumpets for my itb's aswell so should be running nicely when they get here
