Yeah, its in 3 phases which are aimed at cutting fat in the first, then the second two are more bulking up.
If you dont want to cut fat then just use the diet plan from the second or third phase but do the workout plan as normal.

Any examples of people doing that mate? All the before/after pics and videos seem to be of fatties; and IMO it's easier to get muscular and loose weight than it is to gain it.

Go on to their forums over at beachbody.com, on there you'll find a forum where people post before/after pics and although you'll have to hunt them out (I havent saved any specific links to post up, but have seen loads on there) you can find pics of skinny/average guys with low levels of fat who bulk up.
As I was saying further above about my own workout Im aiming to do with a view to bulking, the P90X workouts arent too dissimilar to other workouts out there such as what Dizzy is doing. They are aiming at the same areas of the body and the intensity of them are right up there.
Its more a case of making sure you aim for the low reps and high weights, and get your diet right for your goals.

Right, without reading all 82 pages.
I am pretty fat I seriously need to loose some weight as the moobs are comming back etc etc.
My question is, would this be suitable for me, i am about 5ft 10" and now weight just under 13st. Or would i have to loose abit 1st and then start on it?
Also because i am in work alot, i gather it is just the 1 set of exercises a day? How long does it "normally" take to do each day?
And the last question, with the diet, does it explain it all to you, or is that side of it all up to you?
Oh and also, as my house is a new build (shite quality) i think to be completely honest if i had a pull up bar, it would rip the door frame off can you use anything else to substitute one?
As i said, i would read all 82 pages but seriously dont have time!

Thats a fine weight to do this, it'll be tough at first but losing weight/working out generally should be tough anyway. Im just under 6ft and was 15.5st (pics on page 50something I think) and have since dropped to mid 13's.
Its roughly an hour a day of workout, 6 out of the 7 days a week.
It explains it all for you, which is why this is really good imo. Once you get all the stuff one of the pdfs it comes with is the Nutrition Guide, this points out the sort of stuff you should be eating and when. It also gives some recipes to give you an idea of the sort of thing you could have, etc.

Oh, and I think a lot of people are using these pull up bars in new builds with no problems, but you can swap them out for bands (same with the weights as well) and just use those.

For those skinny guys asking if its possible for you to bulk up on P90X, here is a thread on their offy forums started by two guys who call themselves Team Brawny! Loads of others have posted in there about their success and lots and lots of tips for you!

Cheers Cosmosis, i think i might give it ago, 2 is a bloody good weight loss for 2 months!
Im glad they show you about the diet, i dont have a clue about that side so that should help alot.
The 1 hour a day, can that be done at any time? As im working 9 - 5:30 at the moment = Gay.
I have got the weights, may aswell try a pull up bar although being a fat bastard i cant see it ending up well on hollow walls consisting of 2 pieces of plaster board!

Completed my first session, im not surprised how sore i am, i knew it was going to be pretty full on. I dont really want to go down the diet route, is it vital? I dont want to be like the guys on the dvd. Eating healthy for the first 30 days should be ok? There after im planning on bulking. Ive not really read into the bulking stuff yet.

Just alot of fruit, veg, eggs and different meats. I meant protein drinks really and all the specialised food. Alot of people at my work all go to the gym and jus eat healthy and they have good results. As i said im not aiming to be mr muscle. Didnt paul stray from the diet abit?

If you eat healthy you will see some change, but if you want this to work properly then you'll have to get your diet in to a decent order really - and not meaning all protein shakes, etc.

Ok. I dont think my ps3 reads the nutrition pdf. Do you really have to measure out your lunch n dinner etc?

Nah, you dont have to go that far if you dont want, but you need to get the levels and split between carbs/protein right, and you need to eat them at the right times.

Just a bit of an update on where I am up to....this should be my 'rest week' and also my final week of P90X.
Im going to use it as a rest week too, and plan a head for the start of my second round. I was hoping just to skip the rest week and start today but its taking a bit more planning than I thought it was going to.
