I'm actually due an upgrade in March next year...
I hope the next iPhone release isn't as underwhelming as the 5 or I might just keep my 4 and change to a SIM only/PAYG contract.

The iphone 5s / 6 will have to wipe my arse or something similar for me to get it, current one is the same as the 4s, but bigger, feels like you'd break it easier too.

Bigger screen, Siri, Lightning connector, worse battery life, faster processor, vastly better camera (front and back), lighter, thinner and comes in two different shades of pre-scratched aluminium.
Did I forget anything?

I know the differences, I wanted to know what ones Matt had seen that stuck out as 'decent'.

Bigger screen - not noticeable
Siri- never use
Lightning connector- more of a disadvantage
worse battery life
faster processor- definatley niticed this going from a 4 but nothing different from any other phone that isnt 2 years old
vastly better camera (front and back) - true better than the S3
lighter, thinner - S3 feels thinner even though it's not
comes in two different shades of pre-scratched aluminium - are the white ones coming out scratched too?

That's definitely the reason, everyone I know/work with who has one says the battery is much worse. These are normal people btw with what I would class as farily normal usage, ie not me looking for geekier stuff.

I went from a 4 the better things are processor camera and screen size.
Everything else is forgettable after a week.
I don't know anybody that uses Siri for anything other than messing around

Same no rattle from mine.
Question, do the Chinese copy lightning cable adapters work yet? Want to buy an aux adapter for my car but they don't do an iPhone 5 one yet other than a jack plug connector and I'd like it to charge at same time you see.

Yup but no one knows if Apple is able to 'block' knock-off cables in future updates.

now thats fucking ridiculous, trying to make sure people can only use your cable. this will be the real reason why they dont use micro usb.

There's a massive thread on the apple forum about the rattle. Apple say its perfectly normal.
It doesn't rattle when you shake it, just when you put it down, it vibrates or when you tap it at the top with your finger. Got a camera sensor from a 4S here, they're all the same.
