Cumbria did you have to use spacers on the front with your coilovers when you were running speedlines? both when you the rsx and when you had the Avo's....

id be tempted put alittle spot weld on the bolts/nuts too incase they might try to shear or work loose.

plenty of stud lock going on them, will see if a bit weld is possible when bolting it together.
i really dont think its going to work. although there is no reason why it shouldnt.

not really just some bits on the sills and rear inner arches. my mate slick and me are going to sort it then put the 2.2 from his prelude into it with turbo on etc for some fun. will obviously add pics as it gets done into here.
finish the body work, then work on doing the conversion.

welcome to the "it must go to crail on sunday" style update. its after 4 am so i apologise if some bits dont make sense. im very tired. been a long night of hard work.
to begin with. it took me and slick less time to remove the gearbox and clutch than it did for vxr james to go get chips from the chippy in his vxr. amazing. upon its removal we found the following......
crackage of the spring and rivet sheared like had thought. get in. also horribly found this.....
maybe cant tell from the pic but casing where rear gearbox mount goes is cracked. basically meaning the gearbox is dead also. went in search of some bolts to go back in. maybe a touch larger just incase. didnt find any. found another f28 though. ftw.
so swapped the quaiffe over into the other unknown f28. surely it cant make worse noises than the one i had. every gear sounded like it had a supercharger bolted to the cog. let alone other strange noises it made. so will give new box a go anyway. so that solved the cracked casing issue. next up the clutch
not really got any pics. but basically drilled the rivets out the old old pressure plate, bolted it back together with lots of stud lock etc for jdm ken-spec clutch mk1. then fitted it and the new f28 to the car. and low and behold, works grand. so far.
johnathan also made a jdm kenspec mk2 clutch aswell replacing the springs for some from another clutch that were the same. so if kenspec 1 fails, i have a kenspec 2. by that time should have saved up enough cash for a twin plate clutch which will take the abuse and power.
so after a ling nights work, mostly taken up swapping the diff over as sometimes the f28's can be a right fucker to go back together even with random bits of shoe lace around the bearings. im quite happy to report that the car has been fixed on a budget of 50p for the parts for the clutch. much cheaper than 170 odd quid.
thanks for reading.
