Brundle does like to mention it for 10 minutes every time there is a safety car but he does have a point, the unlapping of back markers is stupid.

It is. The reason they do it is to add some excitement that you've got all the leaders together instead of having a buffer of backmarkers. Bloody annoying.

I don't get why they don't just drop to the back, not unlap themselves.

Great drive from Hamilton. Even though he had a fast car he still had to drive it to the limit to make sure that he had the gap to pit.
As it happens I think he would have had all 3 at the end as their tires were screwed at the end but he still had to make it work.

Well that was tense amazing drive by Lewis to be able re-gain 1st after the stop.
Rosberg karma really is a bitch. Feel a little bit sorry for him. Only a tiny bit.
Who's top now muvvafucka?

With tactics and planning being so important, everyone needs to complete the same distance.

I'm not sure what that's got to do with it, a lapped runner completes a race with one lap less than the unlapped runners at the end of a race anyway... they don't take the flag and then go around again.
I think there would be an argument for having the lapped runners just do a "drive through" scenario in the pits, so they re-emerge in the same order they were in but the unlapped runners who are still at SC pace pass the pitlane.
I think the FIA Timing equipment would need modifying to make this possible though, which is probably why they do it the way they do!

The safety car period today was absolutely ridiculous and didn't need to last that long. It was just time wasting and bored me.
Rather than bring in silly half thought out rules midway through the season, they should make the current rules better and sort out that absolute shambles.

Alonso did well I thought.
Dan hates black winners though, so maybe he's at the local KKK meeting tonight?

So, engineers telling drivers "how to drive the car" is banned and Rosberg cant even get the thing into gear...coincidence? I think not

not at all but I was away this weekend so watching it tonight
From what I gather Hamilton drove well and deserved the victory
I have nothing against Hamilton but everyone gets defensive when I say he isn't as good as people make out
Also storm in a tea cup over Hamilton and Rosberg incident - how many times did we see that sort of incident in Italy and no-one mentione dit, or even mentiosn the spa incident now
