What do you do?

Also, I'm having trouble typing, i slept sitting up at the table with my hand under my eye and only woke due to pins and needles in my arm. Plus, my eye doesn't work right anymore, it is all blurry

I've been used to working weekends for nearly 3 years. Friday, saturday daytime & a sunday night. Then the fuck the weekend shift off & put every one on either permanant days or rotation. Still getting use to everything

I build Eurofighter Typhoons. Aircraft electrician on final assembly. I've been on nights for six months now. Love the job and love the nights. We do a 4 night week, Mon-Thurs, on flexi time then Friday nights are overtime at time+7/8ths. It's a great job.

On rotation ( nights ) we do mon - thursday. They can make us work friday as Working Time Account. Basically working for free paying back the company hours or banking hours.

It tech support, crap hours, crap pay, 4 of 10 of the team just got made redundant meaning 80% of us are now doing twice as much as we used to - but as cutbacks were cost based due to current climate we wont get payed anymore

all teams above us just lost a person to redudancy, theres v little scope to move up, its a thankless task and has been for nearly 3 years sat at a desk all day - im really fed up i just wana do something else, something more active, or something i enjoy

i wonder if i can break into working with music

It is a great show, lots of fast and unique cars there. I think i'll have to go in this year with no cheque book or bank cards and just a small amount of cash so i don't start putting deposits on new kits.
