What did you end up using m8s? Is there no clearance issues with the bolt and nut idea?

none at all. works grand so far. i mean it might blow to bits tomorrow. got one clutch which is the mk1 version made up with m6's. then the mk2 version snapped the rivet and the spring, so has m8's in it and springs from a ford clutch. see what happens to kenspec jdm design mk1 clutch first. its far stronger than the orignal rivets.

So the only thing that could blow is the pressure plate seperates itself again? That right.

well the springs could break. anything could happen really. will just see what it is when it does and see if that can be made better somehow.

well got some gearbox oil from halfords, fired it in it. took it for a little drive. feels ok. clutch seems a lot stronger than before. gears feel fine. didnt seem to be anywhere near as noisy gearbox as before. hope it holds out.

so should be making crail tomorrow with it. gave it a full on valet. complete with water and some cheap car shampoo stuff and even a sponge.

lets just hope its going to be ok tomorrow. me and my mate slick are taking turns in it on strip if it survives long enough.

bugger. the f28 thats on it now is fair knackered. crunches 2nd to 3rd, and 3rd to 4th. oh well. looks like i will have to pretend its some fancy straight cut thing honest. time to make 1 good box out of the 2 i think. well at a later date anyway.
