Yeah, it just doesnt make any sense. They'll blow a stupid amount on the likes of Benzema, and even Diarra a bit back - yet to buy a Spanish player they wont pay over the odds at all.
I hope it shoes Xabi that we really value him with not accepting a bid of £25m and that Madrid are just a fucking joke of a club.

Have you seen today's marca btw and all the panickers on RAWK saying he must be gone because he's gone back to spain for a few days he's got on holiday?
I hope this is all over with and he comes out and pledges his future to us, I really do!

Yeah, I saw someone post up on there late last night what was in todays Marca and knew Id wake up to see about 50 posts from fans on the brink of heart attacks
I was confident he wouldnt go at first, then I got a bit worried, but getting more and more confident he'll stay now.
My only worry is if Rafa doesnt put a strict deadline on any deal being done, so even if they come in a week before the window closes with the amount we want they'll be told to fuck off.

It's hard to try and ignore the press but some of the people on there must be just about into double numbers in the IQ stakes with some of the panick striken messages they post I am pretty much of the same thought process as you, was more concerned mascherano was on his way out then thought it was more likely to be alonso now feel confident both will stay.
Someone is saying a 48 hour deadline, whether that's us, our press, real's press (e.g. marca) who knows, but i'm inclined to think rafa know's better than all of us that we don't want to lose players the closer we get to the start of the season.
