Fine with me would be nice to make them pay over the odds for him though

Fingers crossed.
Yeah had seen the 48hrs mentioned. IMO if he comes back from his hols and back in training on Thurs then thats it, he stays. The real training will kick in and he can get his head down and know he is not going anywhere.

Sounds like Toure to City is on!
Hangeland likely to replace him although I'd like to see a cheeky bid in for Chiellini or more likely Zapata (aka the monster!)

I think Toure is an excellent defender and £16m seems to be a far better deal than some of the others they have brokered

They seem to lodge a bid which is normally around double that of what anyone would pay then just keep going up until they are told to piss off or the club who have the player contracted think 'shit they might realise soon that he's only worth 1/3 of this' and sell

I think the Dossena deal is worth more than £4.5m as his agent yesterday said we'd rejected an offer for approx that much, so guessing its over £5m.

It's going to be there or there abouts, decent business and will give a few other lads a chance
PMSL @ this post from a user on an lfc site, in relation to perez saying xab is over priced
I'm fucking sick of all this "Rafa only wanted £16 million for him last year so it's unrealistic to want double that this year." Well hang on a minute, Wigan paid £3.5 million for Valencia 18 months ago and sold him for £18 million last month. Then, 12 months ago, they paid £3.5 million for Lee Cattermole and this year they're turning down bids for THREE TIMES that amount! I'll let that sink in. Lee fucking Cattermole!!
So what's wrong with Rafa's expectations rising massively in 12 months? When I was 14, I'd happily settle for a big Frenchy and a sly feel of knockers off a girl. By the time I was 15 this had increased dramatically to a good fingering, tuning inthe radio on her raspberries and a quick wank off a girl. By 16, if I went out with a girl, the minimum expectation was a shag and/or a blow job by the second date. By 19 my minimum expectations with a girl were were regular sex on tap, blow jobs and 10 minutes up the wrong'n every now and then. Rafa is no different than we all were when we were kids, wanting more and more as the years pass!

If City get Toure and Lescott, where will they all play? Unless Bridge gets dropped and Lescott plays left, I can't see how they will fit Richards, Dunn and Toure in as well?

I reckon they will try and get rid of/keep dunne sweet and play toure and lescott as first choice CB's with richards RB and bridge LB.
