An update Jambo will be happy with.

Been looking for these for a while. Original 3.0i/si grilles, which have graphite slats, rather than black.

My painted ones are chipped to hell, so should be a nice upgrade.

Grilles on, major improvement. Doesn't look Internet now.

Had a problem with my headlamp washers after putting the bumper back on last time. Removed it today expecting to find an unconnected pipe but it was fine.

I had lost all my screenwash but they weren't popping up. My dad suggested it could be an airlock so I sucked on the pipe until water tasting of screenwash came out.

Re-fitted and perfect now.

Still need to sort the headlamp condensation out which will mean another bumper removal

I prefer them. Lower cc's have the black. Graphite is 3.0 only.

I reckon gloss black would look nice, but matte looks cheesy.

The clear headlamps go with the graphite/chrome better.

Black ones need repainting anyway, going to prep them properly and spray them gloss black.

The bottle was empty before I added some water to test, so would've just been residue.

Tasted awful. Have you ever had your teeth make contact with tinfoil? That's all I can think of

Cars been smelling a little funky for a while now, always after it rains.

The guy mentioned the smell when it went in for a service, so thought i'd have a quick look for any signs of water coming in.

Luckily I looked under the passenger seat first and saw a damp patch in the groove of the carpet, so lifted it up to be greeted with a small paddling pool



It's so wet that the only way to dry it out properly is to get the seat out.

Had a feel and noticed it was also wet by the door, so hoping it's just the seal that's gone.


Got my grilles on in the mean time. Not keen on the chrome but I like the graphite slats. Not sure what to do with them really. Might gloss black my other set.

I'm not surprised the seal might have gone there. The plastic I think alway looks to nip the rubber

Prefer Gav's black grilles. They don't look good at all, blend in too much with the paintwork, needs some contrast in my opinion.

I prefer these to the Internet grilles defiantly.

Also Ben Water leaks are an absolute bastard. My M3 is leaking and I STILL cannot find where from. It's the boot lid but not sure how it is getting in as the rest of the car is bone dry.
