Thats in My dads house. He's cutting a hole in the side of his house to get some natural light into a utility room he made. He never bloody stops working and spending money!

Finally got the Eibachs through after missing the courier during the week. Like the fact they're black. You can see the rear springs through the rear alloys and I don't like them red.



Going to fit the rears later on and hopefully get the fronts on tomorrow.

They look like the standard springs I took off
Can't really see the springs through the wheel unless your looking for them

Are your fk's still rubbing on the rear? As in the coils touching eachother? Just went to change the rears and the shock bolt wouldn't budge (have no wd40 on me), and as i've been up since yesterday afternoon, I felt I best go to bed before breaking something

Will try again in a few hours.

Yeah they touched slightly.
Yeah I had trouble. You sure your not tightening them? I did that on both sides
Stick a pipe over the ratchet. That's what I had to do

Woke up late and had to rush round my dads (flat ground) to fit the springs, but the rears are now on and it already feels so much better to drive.

The rears looked to have had a hard life and had some rust on from where they coils have touched.




Spring out and new one in:




Went round the block to let the pads settle back on their mountings and it already looks decent enough



Seems to have raised the car about 10mm which is what I needed to stop any rubbing issues with the insides of the tyres on the wheel arch liner.

Gonna try and get the fronts on tomorrow so will get better pics then.

It sits perfect tbh Gav. I was worried the rears would rub when theres weight in the car, so having that extra 10mm gives me peace of mind.

Also know from previous experience that Eibachs are good quality. 3rd car i've put them on now.

The Fk springs are decent, but when you do essex - Scotland roadtrips, they're a little too firm.

hmmm i need some further away pics to decide properly, that arch gap looks like mine before i lowered it.
wonder if some 15mm spacers would fill the rear out?

No way you're far too scene! I think the height of the car has actually put a damper on the enjoyment I get from driving it, as i'm constantly worried about bottoming out.

I am getting old though. 26 in 2 weeks

i just rag mine regardless, dodging potholes adds a chicane experience plus mine hasnt bottomed out once ( unless on my driveway) but im not hooning at that point

see im 23, think your choice ride height is better suited to a citroen picasso old man

Gonna be tough getting the fronts on tomorrow, f1 then bbq at the family home, but i'll try my best!

I just paid £40 and got someone to fit mine. Less hassle
I still haven't watched any of the new f1 season. Strange for me

It has done that previously, when I had the spacers on the front. Been fine with the 19's on though.

You still running a 225/40 tyre? Mines 225/35 so may give a bit more clearance.

Yeah, no spacers though as the 20mm ones rubbed when I fitted them after the springs.

You fronts must be a bit wider than standard, I assume?

Day off work so set about fitting the eibachs.

Removal was simple, took 5 minutes. Fk spring came off easily, but no matter how much we tried to compress the eibach spring, we couldn't get the top mount on

After about 2 hours of swearing, my dads mate done them with proper tools.





One half way through re-fitting. Just waiting for the 2nd one and we're done.

Bit worried it'll be like a monster truck now

I've got Eibachs on my 330, love them and the drop is decent enough. Good choice

Both on and cars driveable now. Had a quick drive round the block and i'm not 100% happy with the aesthetics, but the ride is a lot more compliant. I'm no longer being shaken around like some sort of blender

It appears to sit around 10mm higher than before, which will be far more practical for me and my work (private estate full of speedbumps).
