At least you realised about Cesc unlike most! Moyes needs time. Not sure he'll get it though.

Yeah Cesc was never going to happen
He does need time, but he also needs to strengthen the squad.
Unless he is to change Rooney to a Scholes type player and play RVP and Hernandez upfront we definitely need a CM

Rooney could definitely play that role. He seems pretty unsettled though. Moyes has got a lot of pressure at the mo. as said I hope the fans give him a chance.

I can also see Wigan causing an upset today. They will be a lot more up to speed than United.

Rooney would be awesome in that role if he embraced it, when he plays it at the moment he tends to just sit back spraying balls around, but he needs to do that and be getting into the box to truly excel at it.
He is unsettled, but I think it's because he's a bit thick and is being badly advised. If he is leaving united just because we have RVP it is a little silly, they can both help each other.
I hope Hernandez gets more game time this season

I think it's United fans that are being thick about Rooney. He has said time and again that he wants to play as a striker, and maybe settle back in to a midfielder role in a few years. Expecting him to become a box to box player just to accomodate him in the team will see him leave for Chelsea.

I accept that he wants to play as a striker, and he could do, but if that's what he wants he is going to have to settle for time on the bench on occasions, no matter how good he is, he isn't as good as RVP, I would even question if he is as good a finisher as Hernandez is tbh.
I can't see him leaving for Chelsea unless it is on a free in 2 years.
Rooney is a victim of his own ability to play in multiple positions, I really hope he stays, but he needs to state his wishes public ally one way or another because I'm bored of the papers

As an all round player, I think he's better than RVP. Last season he was rarely utilised in his favoured position, yet he still got slated as being out of form. Hardly fair But as you said, it's because he's such a talented player that he gets played wherever needed.

There was a gem of a utd fan on 606 last night, saying that they will pull Fergie out if retirement next season or later in this in the hope to try scrape them into a CL spot and if they dont they will finish mid table

You're a fucking idiot if you think united will finish lower than third.

Exactly, City are favourites then Chelsea then United,
Swap City and Chelsea around and you're about right, even if Moyes struggles I can't see united worse than third

Is that confirmed? Didn't think he deserved it anyway if so (neither did Owen)

Not confirmed but seems to be the case.
Wonder why they are giving Fellaini the shirt
Edit - United squad list on manutd.com shows him back at #25.

Just read a news article regarding it, I don't think he should have had I anyway tbh, but certainly Fellaini isn't a number 7 either
Keeping it free for Ronaldo I wish

Is it just me that thinks Rogers has fucked up with the whole apology thing? Unsurprisingly Suarez has said he won't apologise. That's just an easy ticket to force a sale tbh.

I can see both Liverpool and United losing out in their respective issues. Even though I read this morning they were somehow working together to ensure both Suarez and Rooney stayed.

They have made a mess of it but he is a fucking joke behaving like he is, the dirty horrible cunt should show some loyalty to the club that supported the racist biting wanker. Good player but is a complete oxygen thief IMO

Yep. What did BR think was going to happen! A grovelling apology?
He can't leave Suarez in reserves all season. Anyone who thinks he would is deluded.

As far as I'm aware Rodgers holds all the cards. He's contracted to them, he can do what he wants. If Suarez is still a cunt, then that's his problem
