Erm varies really on how i feel on the day.

Maximums ive tried are:

DB chest press 42kg
BB bench press 105kg
Squat 75kg
Dead lift 115kg
Military press 55kg

All of them for 4-5 reps. I dont train for strength anyway. Never bother with the BB bench press any more as its shite for building chest muscles.

hmm.. Tried and tested for decades, but somehow BB bench press is shite for chest development?

Its mediocre at best. Every bodybuilder whos had a torn pec would have done it on the BB press. It uses your delts and triceps too much to singularly target chest muscles. Power lifters do it, but very few bodybuilders use it as a core part of a training programme. For optimal chest stimulation there are far far better exercises out there.

Best exercise for lower chest development is the Decline dumbbell chest press. The chest routine that i have been doing recently to hit my full chest is decline db press, incline db press and then flat DB flye. do this twice a week if you have a lagging chest and in 6-8 weeks you should see significant improvements that no barbell bench press would ever deliver.

I want to do this, but it seems a bit of a pain in the arse with regards to shifts.

I often work 7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am, doing 4 days on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off. Is it something that you can do for the 5 days, then leave for 4 days before going back?

Also, I don't want to look like a burk in the gym

Your muscles will be killing you later, and you'll then be expected to jump about and do the hardest workout of them all - good luck

it fucked my knees.

I'm such a looser, havent done any since thursday last week and had a pretty mental weekend. Gonna start again but do the diet properly this time instead of just cutting back. My brothers got a huge tub of creatine so gonna take that too till its finished then i'll move on to something else. Are the recovery drinks any good?
