The thing is though it's one thing to steal a phone as there's plenty of people around doing it but why post it on an internet forum do you think it will impress people?
Does it make you 'cool' like smoking etc?
No it doesn't.

completly different scenario. may as well be argueing that they'd lost a dog. money is one thing, a phone is another. could even just send him the frickin sim card back if your that pikey to steal a phone. if someone came runnin back as she picked up the note, she could give it back but its only money. you've openly said you could have stopped the driver to give the phone back.

It's a totally different extreme though to £20 or something. If I found over £50 I'd try and get it back to the original owner.
Plus the fact you robbed it as opposed to finding it

£20 is the same to some people as £6k is to others. and u r classing finding as robbing here so it is 'technically' the same thing

you'd have to be quite careless to drop 6k on the floor and leave it for hours on a pub floor...

if i found a 'large' amount of money, took it to police and they couldnt find owner (after a certain time it would be returned to me) i still wouldnt keep it, wouldnt be mine, id give it to charity.
i have faults but the one thing i can pride myself on is knowing iv worked damn hard for everything iv got

if someone found your mums phone, knew it was hers but deliberatly made off with it would you happily label the tosser as a finder or a thief. i know what i would call that person..
