I agree too! I could of spent the time to paint the block up, but this engine is only going in temporarily for the events I intend on doing at the end of this year, just so I can get used to the car. I've got another engine sat waiting to be rebuilt and have some work done to it over christmas so that'll be the engine I'll get looking nice!

I modified them because Pro Tec Motorsport do the same size arch liners in Carbon Fibre for silly money! There will probably be another section of flexible plastic attached to the wing to protect the door jam!

Bootlid and spoiler came from Pro Tec Motorsport, but I think Eurorallye are doing the same ones as pro tec, or are selling them for pro tec aswell!
Eurorallye do some good stuff though, I've had some bits and pieces from them before.

10mm spot weld drill. Bit tidier and cleaner than a grinder!!
I used to own a pair of protec arch liners, but they do exactly the same job as the plastic ones that i've cut around!!

Not much of an update, but its been a while since I posted some pics.

Re-fitted master cylinder and brake servo:
Sealed all bits that needed sealing!
Then went from this:

Just so it looks neater when the perspex windows are in.

UPDATE: 16th September 2007 (At last)
Sorry to keep you all waiting guys. I have been doing bits and bobs on it, but haven't really had chance to sit down and get any new pics up, so here we go.
Managed to finally get hold of some 1.4 16v ARP Rod bolts, literally only just appeared in ARP's catalogue, so thanks to Arrow Precision (01455 234200) they managed to get me a set from ARP in America:
Fitted my strut brace to make sure it fits ok:
Painted the outside edge of the rear windscreen to make it look tidier when fitted:
Marked and drilled all holes for rear windows:
Then painted round the outside edge of the rear windows like the rear windscreen:
Gear linkage all fitted:
Lightweight bonnet strut!!!
Discs and calipers re-fitted (pads and discs will be changed by the first event!!)
Rear tinted perspex windows fitted:
Holes drilled in bonnet over the carbs for the intake scoop:
Scoop temporarily fitted:
Boot pins finally fitted and working!
Managed to drill the welds out of the hinges on my nova boot and re mount the hinges onto the fibreglass boot:
Bonnet pins drilled and fitted:
Insides of the doors sprayed white:
Dash wired up and fitted:
Fuel line now fed through the car from the spare wheel well to the engine bay:
And how we left it tonight:
Will be working on the car all day tomorrow aswell so will probably be updates tomorrow too!!

That steering wheel is awesome
As for the rod bolts, they've been available a while I thought? Broster had some about 2 years ago.

The 1400 16v rod bolts are a brand new line. When I first phoned arrow precision quoting the part number, they said the part number didn't exist! Until they contacted ARP and found out that it actually did!!!

Was thinking about getting the dash flocked, but might just spray it matt satin black for now. Won't look quite as good, but will be cheaper and will do near enough the same job!
Yes, the scoop will be red too.

I thought I'd just put some pics up of my new road car aswell. Its a 2003 Mk4 Golf GT TDi 130, standard apart from the 18inch Audi A8 replica wheels, lowered 30mm on Eibach springs and superchipped to just under 170bhp!!
