shouldnt you just forward everything you recieve to your insurance company? a few years back when i had a rear end bump, my insurance company just told me to send everything to them and they dealt with it from start to finish, and there were 2 other cars involved and personal injuries etc.

They never told me to do that Will phone them tomorrow. The stupid thing is they've already sent someone round last year to take my side of events and i hadn't heard from them after that. Until i got home to this.

Unlucky you need to pay for it, it's even more worth it when it's free.

Didn't see the thread the first time, but LMFAO that the astra driver has any injuries. Courts will laugh at this if you show pictures of the astra. I've been rear ended at 20mph in an astra and the rear end folder, they're so weak. Looks like you barely tapped him!

Fro, need a lawyer...

I'd happily contest this one. You should go to court yourself and fight it.

It can be done, and won. You just need to ask the right questions, like the one you've put.

Travelling to fast - YEt pulled away from lights and he was in front, so if im travelling too fast, how could he get in front without going faster?

Ask him if he remembers getting out of the car and admitting liability, and remind him of his word under oath.

etc...

Totally fightable I think!!!!!!

I agree it is fightable as there is so much bull with regards to his side of the story its unreal. Just not something i would have wanted to deal with during the festive season. And over a year since i last heard anything!

Will definately need to seek legal advice, but can't be dishing out loads of money. And the insurance company at I was with didnt seem to be doing anything substantial with regards to it

Fro - I had one of these turn up after my accident, from a court in Newcastle and she lives in Stevenage it was basically through one of these "Have you been in an accident in the last 3 years?" bullshit.

If you had legal expenses cover on your insurance, simply hand all the documents over to the insurance company, and they'll deal with it. That's what I did. I then got sent a form from my insurance company's lawyers to admit liability and everything was paid out etc and I didn't have to do anything. At the end of the day, it won't affect your NCB by admitting liability etc.

Don't worry too much. . .unless you didn't have legal cover.

But i've not once admitted liability and i don't see why i should when this dick was in the wrong. Nothing has been paid out etc yet its still an ongoing thing.

If i admit liability then the insurance company i was with have to pay out, wouldnt that kill My NCB?

It's one of these claims things.

Your insurance company won't necessarily let you admit liability. Mine was clear cut, so they did, and simply paid out.

If your insurance company knows about this already, then hand the documents over. If not, then I don't know what to do - may be ring them?

But will certainly be through one of these claims courts things, and nothing to really worry about. It just has to look all legal and stuff.

As said, if the insurance company knows about it i.e. to fix his car, then had the documents over.

I'm not sure where you stand with NCB if the policy you had this crash on/year is no more.
