It's wired directly to the door popper which is bolted behind the hinge of the cap.
There's a few pics of the popper fitted and a video of the flap in operation a few pages back.
Awesome, thanks.
I saw the pics, but not the video. Ill have a look.
Where did the live for the button/popper come from? did you run the wires from the front of the car to the back then?, im presuming so.

I was going to paint them same colour as the the Irmscher wheels in the garage which is going to bed anthracite but the Monza's were too good to pass on plus my cousin fancied the blades.
I really can't justify 3 sets of wheels...Can I

Video is near the top of page 8.
Live was run from one of the many lives on the fuse box, It will run down the drivers sill straight behind the drivers rear door card. It's earthed right near the fuel cap.

Yeah burn it
Before my cousin owned the car my uncle did. He had it from 1 year old and he's a heavy smoker.
Headlining why be scrubbed up until I find a spare one to trim up.

Got a few jobs done on my 2 days off.
Electric windows and mirrors all work now.
Hoses fitted.
Rear interior fitted now, Although the shorter back seat needs repairing as the latch doesn't lock. Something for me to look into.

Rear seat now fixed.
The previous owner of the seats had tried to fix them by looks of it and failed.
No seat buckle clip on the seat.
Stripping the seat down.
You can see the bar missing on the original latch on the left handside.
New clip fitted.
All back together, Only took 10 mins to do.
Tools and parts needed for the repair.
Only cost me a few £ for the clips and nothing for the latch from my mate in the scrappers

Not far off mate. Still need to fit the linkage, time up the Newman cams and refit the interior and bleed the brakes.
Not much else left to do now. I'm getting like a kid close to Christmas

Had a slow day today.
Fitted the exhaust bar and modified gear linkage. The gears feel spot on now.
Then went to bleed the brakes and snapped both rear nipples
Then noticed the rear bearing seals were ropey so replaced both rear bearings and brake cylinders.
Managed to get the brakes feeling quite good but need to road test to see how they stop.

I forgot to add that new rear brake lines were fitted too.
Made some progress today.
Exhaust is fully fitted and really solid, There is practically no movement or vibration through the car.
Got most of the interior back in. Didn't get chance to shampoo it though.

Front seats all fitted and wired now. Feels a hell of a lot tighter than the Cav
It's a tight fit against the door card.
New gaitor fitted.

Does look really good now
The gsi seats look well at home in there, I reckon your gonna have problems with your exhaust though, its gonna need a good flexi joint at the front if the rest is nice and solid. If not thigs whill start to move and break off, been there done that!
Looking good though, and i even like the painted bit above the dash!
