most of the 8v turbo boys are using standard gm gaskets, but apprently you can get mls ones from state side.

as i had a knocking noise from my engine i had to source another one from another forum only cost £100 delivered from a very kind chap, engine loom and box..not bad really.
head come off
number 1piston gear box side, had a crack like something has been catching the side of the piston wall..
engine was out about 11:30
we had to swap all my bits over to the other engine torque everything up new big end bearings change my thermostate water pump dizzy rotory arm cts sensor
got the engine in wired up pipes fitted, wiring done exhaust back on.
tiered to fire it up, but nothing, not sure if we havent earthed something out or put the right live somewhere, need to do gear linkage and a track rod arm needs replacing. but as it got to 7pm we dceided to call it a day
