airflow though... even though they have those enormous fans there that wont compensate and the car will probs be running lean, therefore wont give an accurate result
perfect touch and TOTD have a fan capable if 110mph head wind iirc, so yep you clearly right
i never said i was clearly right, its just from many people i have heard a rolling road isnt really accurate thats all, hence why i wouldnt use one
what other way would you investigate the power of you car then

Well TOTD is well known for no nonsense figures and often found are a lot on un happy customers who have been given bullshit figures from other tuners.
Warren I expect you to be very disapointed

I dont see where all the issues with stress on the engine is coming from, no worse then what it will get on the road
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

Entitled to it no dout but just i've seen less worried people who've spent best part of 40k on a YB.
If anything the RR will give you a good indication of the general health of the engine. Illustrate flat spots and help point out flaws in the set up.
Also if a car has a rev limiter its well in the confinements of safety parameters so going on a rolling road will only be potentially bad for an uncared and abused car.

not practical though is it, when the engine is in the car
as fad says, ive seen people with 40k in a yb, and because they trust the operator, have had no issues with putting there car on the rr, its no mosre stress than on the road, but with alot of monitors making sure nothing goes wrong
if anything its safer than driving on the road normall or at the pod

This is what I hope to find out.
My car hasn't had an oil change in 6k miles, but I keep an eye on it. Next service is due in 4k miles. Would it be worth having an oil change before this?

end of the day you goons, its the same as taking your car out and giving it a spanking up to the red line.
For the ultra paranoid, as long as your car is topped up with oil to the correct level, has all its other fluids in tack and hasnt got the engine management light on I cant see there being much of a problem. Dan you really need to get a grip on reality.
ALL they do on the rolling road is put your car into gear and put the pedal down.

Mr William, if you have an extra space on the day or somthing... ile run mine but that would be embarressing and pointless so can just ask rich to run his astra? or ross to run his corsa, as his was to low to get on the rollers at the last rolling road we went to.

Redlining it is nothing - Now bouncing off the limiter is the way forward
