What you on about Dan? RX7?
The stand alone ECU's are new teritory for me tbh so you will need to explain
Spoke to Broster today, he said he is trying to get in contact with the factory. I wish we could speed things up with these, but your doing well mark and hopefully we should recieve them this week....
The car should be going for a FULL inside shell re-spray this week. Having the rear bench part and boot floor all done arden blue, and the rest including sides and roof done black
Wish we could get on with the engine, but hey theres no real rush.....

Dan, the ecu has a base map to run a certain engine.
For some reason muppets ecu turned up with an rx7 base map, not a c20let base map.
We will need to get a c20xe base map, from mark or dave.

Ok.
Pistons due to arrive in 2 weeks. Been fooking ages i know but the manufacturer seems to be seriously slacking with things!
Corsa is back in my drive, jacked up, i have just pressure washed the rear inner wheel arches and gave them a nice coat of black hammerite. Also painted up the rear axle beam Hammerite yellow to go with the rear drums. PICS coming soon!
Waiting for pistons, then product plans are:
All round Flexi-Glass windows
10 Point OMP Cage
Big Brake Kit
bored of waiting for fooking pistons

Ok, new update as requested "once or twice" from Dan
As we are STILL waiting on the pistons delivery, i thought i would crack on with the other stuff i wanted.
Lost my dog, looked everywhere and found him:
Rear prepped and primed:
Rear beam and wheel well painted up with hammy:
Also done the inner wheel arches all black but havent got any pics, not very interesting tbh
Door before:
Door after:
Rear all painted up and lacquered:
GSI skirts all fitted, think they add to the "rally" look quite nicely:
Carbon door cards, fitted with riv-nuts so they can be easily removed:
Need to re-fit the rear cards as they dont sit right, they are all wavey!
Roof lining done, but need to sort out the pillar covers as they didnt come out like i wanted, will give them a covering of black alacantara material to match the roof lining.
Carpet all done, died black, cleaned like new and cut to fit. Some pics of it fitted coming soon.
Coming.
Flexiglass formed windows
--- Update quick enough for you dan

Hey Graham,
Yeah putting the carpet in, i have cut it so it comes in line with the ridge on the rear bench (Will get some pics soon). I will also cut as much of it as possible like what cannot be seen under the seat etc.
Well, i want the car to look tidy aswell as being stripped out. I wouldnt have added the carpet if it weighed alot but its literally the same as a pair of trainers.
This car isnt really about looks anyway, more a functional but lightweight 2.0xe rally car.... If you see what i mean
If anyone has got any ideas for the inner roof then please let me know.
I dont want to have the headlining in, i was thinking of getting some black vinyl and sticking it on....

I suppose it probably weighs fuck all anyway and as it's for general road use those extra milli seconds won't matter!

It will mainly only been a weekend / evening car. I just really do have to sort out this roof lining and pillar covers. Wish they made carbon fibre ones!

Could you not ask a company that makes carbon to make some for you? Might have to pay a bit extra as it's special request but as it'll complete the carbon interior it's worth it!

Just came off the phone from Mike @ Performance Trim. He said they wont be doing the carbon pillar covers, but later this year they could take a reverse moulding of the roof skin that can go on the inside but wouldnt be nothing like the original head lining.
Ideally i would like the pillar covers yellow, to match my new coming yellow omp 10 point cage. Thoughts?
Im a bit dissapointed about the fitment of the rear door carbon door card, nothing can sort it accept cutting out some of the metal but i have been told that is structural so cant really.
Yea, weekend / evening road use.

I dont understand why people strip cars out and leave the sound deadening in the doors and rear quarters??

There is foam on the front, which tops the door bars hitting the outer door skin. That has been taken off. The rear tar square will stay on, it strengthens them from dents quite a bit so i have been told. And together they weight as much as an apple

just an idea on the roof lining, if you remove the original one, get rid of all the glue etc. paint it (or more importantly the support bars that rin acroos the roof)
when this is done panel inbetween the support bars with carbon like your door cards!
had planned to do this with mine but never ended up gettin intouch with mike at performance trim.
only thing is the roof will be moe 'flat' than with a fitted lining or nothing at all.

cool, the only problem i could think of was how to secure the carbon to the supoport bars. cant remember how the bars look and what amount of material is there. its probably alot easier than im making it sound but its a while since this passed my brain
