That is partly the problem, Most on here have speedlines, Gsi kits and so on...And if you dont have these most of the time people will say change a, b and C and it will be nice.

People spend to much time at work trying to earn these things just to come on a forum and be brought down.

Agree'd, Max power and similar magazines should focus on all types of cars like Imports, show kitted cars,Hot hatches like corsas with LET's etc becuase it aint often you will see a subtle C20 XE or LET corsa in max power becuase they always have kitted show cars and 890bhp supras etc

But when people say 'good effort' and 'looks a good job' i really respect those reply's.
Unfortunately you don't see the people who look at the thread, don't like it and just bite their tongue. The people who DO reply either love it, hate it, or having nothing better to do than post a reply.

Without trying to look like a brown nose simply because i have no need to, But when you think about the work Ian puts in, the money, the organisation and the day to day moderating you have to realise that he isnt doing it as a job but a hobby and thats something we all, prem and non-prem have to appreciate.

I like Steve in general, but he has strange moods where he seems to go out on a limb to irritate people. I still think he holds the record for most alternative banned usernames, seems a lot of effort to go into just to get some laughs.

If i don't like something i usually dont reply and if i do reply i'll say why i don't like it and not just lol or say it looks shit. Not everyone is going to like your car unfortunately and the consensus on here would rather look at a gsi on speedlines as opposed to a big body kitted corsa. Doesn't mean its a bandwagon Phil

Obviously posting up pictures of your car is your way of asking for comments, And with good comes the bad but the part im trying to put across is people might think "Why should i pay £12.50 to have my car slagged and for people not to appreciate it".

See where im coming from?

There is prob 10 kitted/Max Power Corsa's to each subtle one and if this site advertised the fact that its for corsa's of all types and styles then it hink the user base would increase, personally.

You mean what we spend it on?

Monthly hosting bills are about £150pm, shows normally cost a bit with whatever is hired/subsidised/bought/eaten, whatever is left over at the end of the year normally goes on IT hardware or we might carry a bit over and do something special, eg. prize draw or such like.

If everyone took on your type of mind set this place would be a lot more positive but unfortunately there is a large ammount of people who write things like LOL or WTF is that and so on..

Same here, or I'd put "personally not a fan of... but otherwise nice" etc.

I'll be honest iv been a pure dick to people on this but recently iv realised why bother? Doesnt get you anywhere and it could easily bring people down about there cars.

I done it but realised its quite a sick thing to do.

Wee Scotty's (Corsa_Scotty) progress thread is a good example.

Conversely why should you expect people to sugar coat their replies just because you paid £12.50?

If you went out wearing a pair of clown pants to be different, and paid £12.50 to get into a nightclub, would you then demand your money back because everyone in there was making fun of you?

I agree with Ash. If I see a car that looks terrible, I'll say. But not in a stupid harsh way.

Aye, But theres going up to someone in a club and saying 'Mate you've got balls hahah, There mental'

Then theres going up to the same guy and saying ' You look like a fanny by the way, Put on some G-Star jeans and some nike shoks ya wank'.

All im saying is there are different ways of making people stick around.

That's just life.

It's only because we're brought up in such a PC, nannying state now that being honest is deemed wrong if it hurts someone's feelings.

Some people make harsh comments just to get a rise out of people. I make some harsh comments but simply because I have a massively dark sense of un-PC humour. I don't expect everyone to get it, but I don't expect people to spend their evenings crying over what I've said either.
