To be honest, no not plain anyway. Look at what's on here, indicators for new posts etc, you need something there atleast.

Yes, the simpler the better imo. You need a better banner though, that one there now looks abit rushed and cheap if you get what I mean, the font for the actual site is boring and plain. Get a proper banner made up

Ahh, my bad, I thought you were joing the other Army, the one that goes to war and stuff like that. Didn't realise the Army you are joing doesn't fight wars at night. I must look so stupid now.
