Fucking awful from us lot today.
We didnt exactly play badly, I mean out players seemed intent of injuring each other (Carra 2 inch gash that had staples in part way through game, Skrtel had stitches in his cheek)
Still, should of won, players just didnt turn up. Than God its jsut the first game but still, its miles behind where we need to be.

Yeah, you lot got lucky today as a better team would of got a result against you - still though you won and thats what matters.
For us, we were shite, and other than improving as a team I cant see how we can improve until Aqualini comes back as we have no one else there to improve us. I know we can play better but its a fucking shite start.

Come back  hasn't even got there yet Craig.(in terms of playing a second) you need him to be a soloution yet he's had little pre season if any he's got an injury and a injur track record and he's obviously going to take a while to adapt.

He is obviously, even given his injury record, a step above Lucas. Therefore, you can predict he'll improve the team somewhat when in there before Lucas is.
I know you're obviously trying to twist what I am saying, but at least do so in a way where its not so obvious and you do happen to question what I am saying somewhat.

Lucas is very dodgey. You lose a player and you need some one to step right in, But you don't have this, you have a guy who is injured and will take ages to adapt. It's a big worry for you IMO.

Spurs do well at home against the big sides.
Torres is carrying an ankle injury and we didnt pass the ball at all.
No excuses though we were shite and didn't deserve anything.
As Cosmo said i cant see anyone improving us until Aquilani comes. We could try Gerrard moving back to CM in place of Leiva with Banayoun, who did ok when he came on, playing behind Torres.

Only 1 game to be fair,spurs did very well though. Liverpool need more depth and if Gerrard and/or Torres gets injured this season I can see them struggling (Same story every season though?!)
