M32 is ace in a gsi.. You need m32, vxr flywheel, vxr clutch, 2 x parts vxr top mounts, vxr rear mount, gsi front mount, vxr cables, vxr 6 speed stick, vxr shafts, diesel cv joints... I have a lsd in mine and destroyed 3 shafts.. Waiting to see how long m32 lasts putting 500bhp thro it.. !

Damn, a lot of work to fit it! I was hoping it would be a near straight swap haha. Would be looking at least £1k for all that?

Ill be fitting mine when im fitting the VXR turbo etc, taking the car off the road for a week or two and do all the jobs in one whack!
Anyways, finally got some colour coded bump strips:
They are the textured black ones that have been painted, may replace them for the smooth GSI type if some come up in the right colour and cheap. Right bastard to get hold of them though.

PM Turbo Chris on AOC, he normally has lots of GSi spares. I messaged him about some which he hadn't put up for sale and he had some straight away!

Took a video a few days ago too, only a small pop on the gear change, usually a fair bang comes off it:

snao, or just send the ones you bought off ebay and give them to a bodyshop and tell them to remove the textures, sound like the lad has just painted and laquared them and not etched them with plastic primer, maybe didnt even key they either

Whats the deal with the Polybush engine mount bushes? Any common problems with the standard one or just an aftermarket replacement?

Finally got the time to start removing the head to get the seals done, and fit the VXR turbo
Started stripping it down tonight, will be so much easier to change the turbo with the radiator off. Would of left it on, but it needs moved back anyway for the intercooler.
Turbo is ready to come off tomorrow, then its off with the head to phillip2 for the rebuild
Pics:
Starting off:
And how it is atm, hopefully not for long!
Soon to be replaced:
Notice effective useage of condoms
Would of taken the turbo off tonight, but I really dont want any of the studs to snap in the head, so ive coated them in wd40, and ill do the same tomorrow morning, then they should come off nicely after work

More done tonight, would of had the head off tonight but I have fire training soon.
Turbo off:
Rocker gasket was leaking quite a lot, fair mess to clean up!
Also removed the header tank and battery to give them and the bay a good clean:
Valve stem seals on cylinder 1 & 3 are well gone:

Big progress today, got the head off, loads of cleaning and painting to do now, once I get the head ready to send to phillip. Courier is booked for Friday, hopefully have it back next week at some point
Inlet off:
Head off, very dirty on cyl 1 as the rocker gasket was leaking into the spark plug hole, rocker gasket was to blame for a lot!
And how it is atm, lots to tidy up in here!
Off to strip down the head now
