Its always easier to keep up with people than to lose them, if the M3 driver was taking things to the limit it would be away in the distance.
Disagree 100%
M3 is slower in a straight line BTW

Nobody said anything about pace, it's well known that you can make a fad car go fast, noway near as much fun or as nice to drive though

M3 = 1570kg
VXR = 1400kg
M3 drag coef = 0.33
VXR drag coef = 0.4
M3 p/w ratio = 220bhp/t
VXR p/w ratio = 174bhp/t
Seems the M3 would ruin a standard VXR, but I suppose ojc's is running more horses.

E46 M3 slower in a straight line than an Astra VXR? Ojc are you on crack?
Maybe if you put someone who can't drive in a manual version but even a brain-dead coma patient could pull off quicker in an SMG equipt MG.

Thats not really much of a debate though is it.. I could put a Pratt and Whitney jet engine on the roof of a Puegeot 107 and it would be faster in a straight line than an E46 M3..

Ojc said he doesn't have trouble with M3's. You said he was on crack.
