I think maybe it the angle of the pics but this site (no surprise really) is the first place I've had a single critism, it went down a storm at japfest.
You have all seen the standard rear bumper??
[Edited on 15-05-2012 by Sean-B]
Everyones gonna have an opinion mate, they arent exactly criticising...
I think the side skirts would look a lot better if they were actually smoothed in because (I know its what you've done) but they just look like they've been stuck on... And they look out of place!
The new rear bumper isnt that bad but I still think I prefer the original as the new one is just too big.
Each to their own though, fair play to you for having the balls to post it on here as you knew you would probably get people that wont like it.

any plans to change or update the tail lights? not sure what options there are out there?
Cheers mate! I know the ones mate and the though has crossed my mind!
There isn't really much else on offer I must admit I do like the standard ones though!

So we're preferring this
Over this?
The standard rear is literally vile and a rush job to incorparate uk style plates and fog lights.
My new skirts are exaggerations of the standard style that now drop to the same level as the rear as the front bumper. The curvature of the rear bumper lines up perfectly with that of the skirts.
The line where the skirts go across the quarters and wings is the exact height of an existing ridge on the front bumper and where the rear crosses the quarter. Essentially creating a new body line to add feature to an otherwise quite bland side profile.
It's all thought out to tie in perfectly. And as said the front is a few mods away from conformity.

I think the front end will change the look of it all. Agree with the comments about the lights in the old uk bumper, they look pap. needs a small lip spoiler on the boot of some sorts?

Fully red rear lights would look great. What do the 200sx boys do to them? It's the only thing that spoils the car now imo.

They're left alone. It's one of the cars best features IMO.

Update
Managed to get hold of a Greddy Spec R front mount intercooler for a steal!! I really wanted to get rid of my Apex type 2 as the pipework routing drove me crazy plus it looked pants behind the bumper!
All cleaned up ready to fit
Fitted it today! Chucked the battery in the boot whilst I was at it.
Type 2 removed
Hole in battery tray (needs a good de-rusting session soon!) + ends of chassis rails cut
Greddy ON! Can also see the catch tank I've fitted in location of the carbon canister. Should stop the hotside pipes getting a thin coating of oil!
Home made rear battery tray...posh
and wiring junction
It's obviously a lot more efficient as it (just the once) boosted to 1.3bar when it was set at 1.1bar!
Looks awesome too

Is that CCA cable you're using from the wiring distro block to the battery in the boot?
