I think thats the reason yes, infact I'm sure it is. If I had read 'iridium plugs' I would have started to worry, biggest load of crap ever and the tips tend to fall off and destroy engines.

Where did you get that information from? Ive had NGK Irridium plugs in my VX220 Turbo for 30k miles now with no problems, it had been re-mapped with about a 25bhp increase but was still on the standard plugs. It didnt idle smooth and power suddenly dropped off at 5500rpm, with the irridiums it runs perfect. We have sold them at work for about 5 years and never had a problem or come back, certainly no destroyed engines.
Thats NGK though, I dont know about other brands.

Massive thread on VXRonline (idiots I know) but there had been a few cases of the tips falling off the plugs and causing just a bit of an issue.
I think Warren knows a bit about it as well.

Yeh they're uprated plugs.
Yours should have 165bhp standard I think.

I think I remember a local lad from vauxhall saying to me they had an astra vxr in running shit and turned out to be the plugs and run better on standard ones? Dont know how true that is

The wheels are a blessing to clean compared to what I've been used to.
What I have noticed is women checking me out more, I never got that in the Astra unless it was chavvy women now I get women in Audi's looking

Deffo needs some more oommphh.
Dont really like the noise either. Minis are cracking to drive though. I look like a prick driving my GF's but i love it. Handling pin point sharpe, gears are nice and cluncky! Proper accelerator pedal....

Na mate, looks really gay. I'd have one, but I'd be having it all black on black so it looked really heterosexual.
That guy I know that's had a JCW S and now has the GP is as gay as the day is long. Pretty sure his boyfriend drives one as well. All you need to do to balance it out is keep the VXR tbh, I can guarentee that if it sells you'll be banging on for months about how you wish you had kept it.
I'd say that 14.5 is a very optomistic time for a standard VXR on the quarter mile as well tbh. What times has yours run before ojc?
