Oh went to Mini, booked car in for oil change only an inspection 1 forgot they are timing chains on them.

£130 for service, not too bad but the idiot wanted to charge me £60 for a brake fluid change, told him to GTFO. If he had put 5.1 in and fitted braided lines at the same time I'd have taken him up on his ridiculous price and I bet they don't even change the fluid just say they do.

Because the same reason Andy does as well. It's easier to take it to Warren, who has all the tools and a proper garage to do it all and has the solutions of things go wrong.

Anyway, paying Warren keeps him in business.

I don't touch brake lines/bleeding either, I'll give anything else a go but I'll leave that to somebody who has more of a clue than me as it's pretty vital tbh

youd take your wheels off and fitting the wheels is also pretty vital, once you do these things you realise its easy, and you cant make a mistake,

if you fuck up bleeding the brakes you will know straight away anyway as the pedal wil go to the floor, it wont be ok then fail in 1000miles times

Yeah I would rather pay someone else that is confident doing it than me make a mess of it, round off a load of bolts and not be able to use the car.

What Ollie said. I still wouldn't want to touch it. For instance on my 3 year old car when we changed the lines to braided ones the guy who did them for me struggled to get them off and had to cut up a 10mm spanner in some fancy way to get them off, I would have just stood there scratching my head in the hope they would fall off and magically bleed themselves.

That was only about 3 bolts and nothing else had to be done, I only knew what to do as I had watched WArren do Ollie's and I still had to ring Spanish
The hoses are a lot easier at Warren's as he has a tool that sucks out all the old fluid rather than pumping it out and needing 2 of you.
If and when I get a FMIC I'll do that myself, and I did the brakes on the Fiesta myself and changed the exhaust on the Impreza.
I'm great at taking things apart, just not so good at getting them to go back how they came out
