Nobody will buy Owen off us, his contract expires in a few week meaning he will be free to anyone who wants him, infact he has been free to negotiate with anyone since January.

according to BBC...
777 - Total number of passes that Barcelona made in the final, more than double Manchester United's 357. Barca had 69% of overall ball possession.

It was a great experience to be there and see that team play. Obviously I was gutted but no shame in losing to them. Xavi is unbelievable.

he was yesterday, normally Iniesta is far better. But that's the briliiance of Barca only need 2 of the 3 to turn up! (xavi, iniesta, messi) Iniesta still got an assist tho

Let's be honest beating Stoke was always going to be a formality. you narrowly beat us yes we narrowly lost out.
On a totally unrelated note, i wonder how much it would cost [if possible] for the likes of City/Chelsea to build a team capable of beating Barcelona and winning the CL? i mean it cost City half a billion just to get into the competition

You can't buy Iniesta, Xavi and Messi that is the beauty of Barcelona.

I had this conversation with a few mates when we were watching the game. I just cant see any of those players ever leaving Barcelona. Even if someone offered £300million for Messi or whatever ridiculous price it would take for Barca to accept, would he want to leave?

hes not half the player away from Barca anyway, look at him with Argentina, he turns from very good, to exceptional with the players he has around him at Barca

Great game United got absolutely steam rollered, no answers after the first 15 mins (barring a good goal from the fat shrek). Barca are a force, and with this team I can see them winning it another 2/3 times in the next 4/5 years, scary.

Argentina are perenial underachievers ran by a dodgy association. He's also the exact same player, just not playing with midfielders of the calibre of Iniesta and Xavi. There's still plenty of time for him to make his mark at a World Cup as well.
Doesn't really matter anyway, the highest level of football in the world is the Champions League and he has scored and won 2 finals now at the age of 24.

Xavi and Iniesta are local boys playing for the club they love, which happens to be the best team in world football and are paid handsomely for it. Messi was brought over from Argentina and given medication to cure his growth problems at a young age and has been at Barca ever since.
That's the same story for Pique (even though he moved), Valdes, Busquets, Pedro, Bojan and probably a few others.
I can't see any of them leaving for football or financial reasons unless it's when they're starting to decline. So basically everyone else is fucked
