Dynotech = Cunts.
What was actually the score with yours?
My last dyno was the CS one a year ago proving I have run, and have been running 1.7bar. Nothing has been changed, only more performance mods added and has been mapped to suit at the same boost. Comes to the dyno, and suddenly they are asking what boost setting I am running and its now running under 1.4bar when ive only ever had one setting at 1.7bar. So in short, they've got in, fucked about with the boost controller, ran the dyno, blagged its not been mapped properly as its running shit boost. Fucking dickheads. Drove there, and was boosting to 1.7bar. Straight after the dyno run, took it out, and was peaking at 1.3 and tailing off at 1.1ish. My mates adjusted it back up to 1.7 but now im going to need it mapped again as they've fucked about with it. Extremely fucked off and will happily recommend no one to go there and hope they rot and die.
that is pretty shit. did you ask them why they adjusted the boost without your permission?

what are you on about you strange old solicitor lookalike?
did you buy his bmw or not? he had those exact same alloys (comps) on on the exact same colour 3 series so i put 2+2 together.
the vx220 idea i went against after seeing the build quality of one and wasn't keen on seeing bathroom sealant holding parts together when sat inside
i'd rather something a bit slower with decent build quality.

It needed to be done in 3rd gear. Needed to in the gear that's close too 100mph. This is all according to Evolve anyway who do mapping on them. Also all the previous RR graphs I have were all done in 3rd. Very strange and I wish I'd known this beforehand, never mind. Going to Track N Road on Saturday so fingers crossed Steve & Jim pull the figures the car should be pulling.

Be weary about Evolve they have said some right dodgy stuff on cutters. Quite self promting through forums too.
Hopefully the two Steves will shed some light on it. I reckon that Thorney may not have done this car any justice.

Funny that everyone on the forum is also saying the same about Thorney does seem to me that Evolve have tried to take over the forum. So I don't know who to believe! Broster @ Jamsport said they can play with my car but the only problem I see with that is they are not a BMW specialist and haven't done many (if any?)
We shall see tomorrow, crunch day! Will let you know what happens

Yeah some interesting stories of Thorney screwing over people with a lot of Money and solicitors letters flying all over the shop
Its hard to say who knows what as all the specialist seem to have mixed reviews. At the end of the day its a car so I suppose all the same applies. Birds or BW Chip tune get good reviews?

If you have some money though Bexley Motor works seems to have a good rep and they are local

The thing is the one thing that resents me getting it mapped is because it's already mapped. £400 to maybe squeeze an extra couple of bhp out of the mods, is it really worth it? Unless Track N Road highlight some serious issues with lack of power or good fuelling I won't be rushing to get it mapped again

tbh I doubt it was live/mapped on rollers just a generic map with a few tweaks loaded on so you dont really get the benefit of the cams. To get the benefit of the cams you would think timing and map would be altered and custom to the car.
Also mapping may not give you much more BHP (being NA) but it will drive better and have a better torque spread across the rev range.
I suppose the first thing is find out if there is anything wrong which I hope get resolved quickly!

Valid points tbh. The only person who I would trust as he's done a few of my mates cars is Nick @ R-Tech as I know I won't get any bullshit. In most cases he asks to leave the car there a few days do he can spend plenty of time on it, I just need to get reassurance by speaking to him personally as he does mostly VAG stuff from what I've seen. He did the White Polo that turned up at the RR day and it's a beast now, from 150bhp to 240bhp, rapid.
I'll see tomorrow and go from there. Bob wants to run it again on his rollers in 3rd, as he's been looking into it like me. Top fella.
