That's what I do, works a treat

Tell you what else I love about the slow cooker, not only does it make joints fall apart with niceness, it frees up the oven for other things

Should probably modify House Day a bit.
Didn't plan on offering cooking advice but it's going down very well
I always said I wouldn't ever bother to cook something if it took longer to make than to eat.
Still need to do something to accompany the gammon though, what did you serve it with? Suppose I could just boil some veg as well. And egg and pineapple
This is getting expensive.

We need to bring back the recipe thread as well.
Went well for a couple of weeks and then died off

We did baked eggs with the gammon
Used one of those baking trays that you would use for cooking buns
Lined each hole with a round piece of salami, guess you could use anything but the round slices of meats you can get from the supermarket are perfect
Crack an egg in to each hole
Bake in the oven
mmmmm

Yes but the preparation time is nothing!
So yes it takes a while to cook, but your not doing anything, you could even go out for the day!
And the house smells amazing!!

Putting boiling water in a pot noodle is about my level.
I can't cook for shit, I'm tempted to get one of these slow cookers though and give it a go.

for as long as you want the eggs cooked for but id say around 10 mins
oven i always turn to 200 no matter what im doing
no oil as the meat usually lets out a bit of juice so its easy to remove from the baking tray

The beauty is how easy it is. 10 mins prep. It doesn't even have to look pretty when you are cutting up veg etc.
